September has brought about a new update to the Android distribution numbers, and after reaching the heady heights of being on one-fifth of all Android devices last month, KitKat is now sitting on the edge of hitting the 25% mark.
After racking up 54.5% market share in the Android world, Jelly Bean has shown only a slight dip in its share, retaining top spot on 54.4% of all Android devices. Former king-pin Gingerbread is now on only 11.6% of devices and looks set to continue its downward trend. So too is Ice-Cream Sandwich heading south, dropping 1% of market share overall in the last month.
