HTC’s press event at MWC 2015 is just two weeks away, and while rumours of the HTC One M9 are fairly consistent, an emerging likelihood is that HTC will be announcing two phones, not just one — the HTC One M9 that we know about, and the HTC One M9 Plus. HTC have been talking about this on Twitter already:
Something HUGE is coming from HTC. Imagine [number][big thing] in space. And then [math term] that by [number]. #Madlib

These two mysterious HTC devices passed through CompuBench’s benchmarking site recently, confirming a few of these specs we’ve been hearing about. While we know the One M9 falls under the 0PJA model number, this 0PK71 is a little bit more of a mystery.
While it’s just an assumption, it looks likely the OPK71 is the M9 Ultra/Plus, given a higher resolution (1440p). One thing that doesn’t quite make sense though is the reported 5.1″ display, which seems a bit small given the relative size difference reported to exist between the two handsets.
Anyway, here’s what we know about the two devices wrapped up nicely for you:
HTC One M9 (0PJA13)
- 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display
- Snapdragon 810 1.9GHz octa-core (4 Cortex A57 cores + 4 Cortex A53 cores)
- Adreno 430 GPU
- 2.6GB (3GB) RAM
- 23GB (32GB) internal storage
- 19MP (20MP) rear / 12MP (13MP) front cameras with 4K video
HTC One M9 Ultra/Plus/Ace (0PK71)
- 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 display
- MediaTek MT6795 1.9GHz octa-core (8 Cortex A53 cores)
- Rogue PowerVR G6200 GPU
- 2.6GB (3GB) RAM
- 23GB (32GB) internal storage
- 19MP (20MP) rear / 12MP (13MP) front cameras with 4K video
Daniel will be at MWC 2015 and attending HTC’s press event, so we’ll know a whole lot more about the HTC One M9 soon now!
Ausdroid, I’m trying to send you a tip where Spigen have leaked the HTC One M9 in renders, but your send tip button doesn’t work.
