As part of the update to version 3.0, cloud storage service Dropbox has updated the look of their Android app, in their words it’s ‘Better, faster, redesigned’ the crux of the update is that Material Design has finally pervaded the app and it’s looking pretty good.
The update adds the usual Floating Action Button (FAB) – really just a Plus sign which lets you add content to Dropbox, which along with a persistent search button located in the top menu bar, easier sharing options and some nice shadowing pretty much tops off the Material Design update.
The updated look is pretty nicely done actually, and makes accessing, sharing and collaborating on files a pleasure from the mobile app. The app is updating now through Google Play, although Drop Box says it could take several days to filter down to your device.
