Polaroid
If the Galaxy Camera wasn’t quite your thing then perhaps Polaroid can capture your future Camera purchase. Scott Hardy, president and CEO of Polaroid has advised Imaging Resource that “There will be an Android powered, interchangeable lens camera introduced by Polaroid at CES 2013”.

Specs on the device rumour it to have an 18.1-megapixel sensor, 3.5″ touchscreen and run Android 4. Additional information such as specs and we hope firm release details including retail channel partners should be released at the event which is held in Las Vegas from the 8th to 11th of January.

This isn’t Polaroids first venture into the camera running Android space having previously announced the SC1630 at CES 2012, a camera that never actually made it into the retail world. With that history in mind we’ll just have to wait and see on this one, but an inter-changeable lens camera with Android could be very cool.

i think integrating android into these interchangeable lens cameras is a move in the right direction for android based cameras.
The galaxy camera just seemed a bit expensive amongst the point and shoot cameras, with its price verging on some interchangeables.
