ZTE Blade V Plus
ZTE Australia has today launched a new phone in their Blade series, with the Blade Plus V now available from JB HiFi stores and online for $399.

The ZTE Blade Plus V is a great looking handset, with a metal body design and large 5.5″ display giving Australian customers a premium looking large screen phone option in the mid-range price tier. The hardware includes a Mediatek processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage and of course, the headline feature, the Fingerprint sensor. The rest of the hardware is pretty decent and that $399 price tag is certainly attractive as well.

Blade_VPlus_Combo

The Blade Plus V comes with Android 5.1 installed, which ZTE says has ‘no extra overlays or themes installed, just straight vanilla Android 5.1 experience’. ZTE Australia have been quite dilligent in launching stock Android versions of their handsets, and we appreciate it.

The phone appears to only be available in white, so if you wanted another colour you may be out of luck. Still, it’s a good looking handset, head on in to JB Hifi to check it out.

So anyone brought this phone? Thoughts….

Bit sad to see it won’t get Marshmallow, but I guess thats ok :/

Pads

It fails to have nfc which is about my only complaint…

Forest Lake

I have the Blade S6 and am very happy with the phone so this looks to be my next ZTE device around the end of the year 😀

Qball

Buyer beware: will never see a marshmallow update! Ridiculous to launch a phone in 2016 on 5.1 🙁

WAusJackBauer

Really good phone for those that like 5.5″ screens.

Although unlikely to be updated to Marshmallow.

Guys, the 2G network is closing down! Telstra is turning it off 1 Dec, and Optus a few months after that. So this isn’t really a dual sim phone in a few months.

Graham

It is if you travel overseas to locations who still use 2G regularly.

Level380

True, but most people who buy dual sim phones, buy them for use in Australia. Not the few weeks every few years they MAYBE overseas.

Its more a warning to people buying this for this feature, its going to stop working soon.

Graham

WARNING: THIS FEATURE WHICH HAS NO IMPACT ON YOUR USAGE OF THE PHONE WILL STOP WORKING.

Well Done.

Level380

Ummm grow up Graham, people who buy dual sim phones, buy them to be used in Australia!

So this ‘feature’ should come with a warning, that it will stop working soon.
