Lenovo has taken the wraps of the rumoured Moto M right on schedule. The 5.5″ China-only device seems to clock into the Moto range somewhere above the Moto G but significantly below the Moto Z, making the all-metal device fall into the mid-tier category.

Of course in 2016, mid-tier is fairly good, with the rising tide lifting all boats we’re hopeful of some great devices in the category heading forward. The Moto M is sporting a 5.5″ FDH IPS LCD display, paired with a MediaTek Helio P15 Octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and an expandable SD card slot. Camera wise it’s rocking a 16 MP f/2.0 rear facing sensor and an 8MP front facing shooter.

With the Moto M only likely to be released officially in China and several of the Australian LTE bands missing (the device only supports 1/3/7/38/39/40/41) LTE we don’t think it’s likely this device will make much of a splash in Australia. Considering it’s very similar to the Moto G4 we’re also not that upset this time around, although rear fingerprint sensors are the best!
