If the dual-tone, dual finish all metal unibody design and Sense Seven operating system of the HTC One M9 have whet your whistle, then the next question is where and when can you get it? HTC advised at the launch that the HTC One M9 would be available in mid-March, with HTC advising us that Australia would be in the first wave of the launch.

HTC has a long history with Australian carriers and that’s of course the big question, although we’ll certainly look at which retailers will be selling the handset outright down the track. We’ve reached out to retailers and carriers alike and we’ll be updating this article as we round up responses.

Optus
Quick on the draw this morning, Optus has already confirmed they will carry Samsung’s latest flagships, but they are also keen to offer HTC’s. Optus advised that while they have no plan or pricing information, they can tell us that they will be offering the handset on their network.

If you’re interested in laying your hands on the HTC One M9 through Optus, then head on over to their Smartphone Alerts website and fill in your details. The HTC One M9 may not warrant it’s own mini-site, but it certainly warrants your personal attention when deciding on a new phone.

If you’d like to grab a HTC One M9 then you can sign up for alerts on the Optus Website.

Virgin Mobile
Virgin Mobile has advised that they too will be carrying the HTC One M9, although as usual there is no pricing or plan information available, but Virgin will supply more information as soon as it comes to hand.

Telstra
Telstra has announced via their Exchange blog that they will be carrying the HTC One M9. As well as being a great handset, Telstra is excited as the HTC One M9 will be compatible with their 4GX network. Pricing and availability will be announced closer to launch.

We’re waiting on further responses from our local carriers, but given the wide-spread availability of the HTC One M8 last year, we expect to see positive replies from other carriers soon. If you happen to see a HTC One M9 for sale at retail, or through a carrier then be sure to let us know about it when you can.

Except for the new processor, ram, UI and two new cameras?

I hope that the carriers are able to stock more than just the “hero” dual-tone colour scheme of the One M9 :/ I don’t mind the gold accent but I would really love it if I could pick up the gunmetal version on a plan :p

Andrew

Yeah, I’m more interested in the gunmetal grey than the silver/gold. If it were all silver, I’d be interested, but the gold looks tacky to me.
