A quick reminder, the HTC Wildfire will go on sale tomorrow at [T]Life and Fone Zone stores for $349 outright on Telstra Prepaid or $0 on the $49 ‘NextG’ cap over 24 months.

The Wildfire is a cool little device, reminiscent of the HTC Desire and features some cool new features such as: Application Sharing, Flashlight, Next Generation CallerID (Facebook integrated) as well as being preloaded with Swype as the default keyboard, for faster texting.

I got to have some hands on time with the Wildfire at the HTC Wildfire Launch Night, and I am quite impressed. The only letdown was the QVGA (320×240) display, which I feel could have been increased to HVGA (480×320) to allow more compatibility for applications and greater pixel density for image quality. I’ll go into my thoughts more once we get our review unit from HTC.

Yep, but my local Fone Zone no longer exists (Melbourne CBD). Anything else is a hike. Pity I can’t order from their site.

So I went to buy one outright today to be used as a baseline for testing + SenseUi testing…but Telstra don’t have their shit together! Prepaid for $349 is NOT available, whereas the rippoff $480 postpaid is available…

kevin

ehhh…. what’s the point of paying $49 a month if you can get a desire instead? O___O
