The Verge have got their hands on photos of Corning’s CES 2012 booth and its showing all the signs of the new Gorilla Glass 2 that’s going to be announced in the next few days. Going by the tagline on the booth which reads “The damage resistance you demand, at a thinness that will astound you.” we can assume the glass is going to be strong, thin and awesome.

If you’re not currently aware of the great product that is Gorilla Glass — its glass that is far stronger than the normal glass used on mobile and other products and is also fairly scratch resistant, which are both an absolute must on a device that we regularly drop.

Gorilla Glass 2 will hopefully be able to make devices that little bit thinner whilst still retaining the overall rigidity. Some devices that already use Gorilla Glass include: Samsung Galaxy S II, HTC Sensation, HTC Desire HD, LG Optimus 3D, Motorola RAZR, ASUS Transformer and more..

They need to move with quick haste to flexible glass as soon as possible. I want a Yu-Gi-Oh style device strapped onto my arm that I can use as a tablet / phone already!
