Android 4.0 ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ is surely on track to become to slowest version of Android to hit new devices. The latest device dashboard from Google shows that 1.6% of devices accessing the Android Market are running Android 4.0.x. This is up .6% over the past 2-3 weeks.
We do know that Samsung is planning to push out Android 4.0 to its Galaxy S II devices over the course of the next 2-3 weeks, so we’ll definitely see an increase of that 1.6%. Still, it’s time for all the manufacturers to pull their finger out and push that latest version of Android to their capable devices.
