I’m not much of a gamer, but the one series of games I take time to complete is the Grand Theft Auto series and in a couple of days the 10th anniversary of the release of GTA : Vice City is coming up. Rockstar Games is doing a few things to celebrate, for a start you can grab the original GTA III for just $0.99 on the Google Play store, but more importantly they’ve announced via their blog that the Android port of GTA : Vice City will be released later this ‘fall’, that’s based on the US seasons which it is currently autumn over there.

The game will be released to ‘select’ devices as the original GTA III was however they did update the game fairly quickly to other devices so if you can’t purchase it upon release you should see compatibility added in pretty short order. I play the original on my Nexus 7 with the PS3 controller and Sixaxis Controller app combo and have a blast. Good news for us GTA fans whilst we wait for more news on GTA V.
