Optus is launching a new pre-paid phone on the 15th of November, the Samsung Galaxy Music. Available for $149 at Dick Smith, Domayne and Optus stores, the phone is available in Blue or White. It’s showing now on the Optus Website but numerous notices in-store showed that retailers were not expecting stock until the 15th of November. Not a bad little phone but certainly not what you’d call top of the line spec wise :

  • 4GB with microSD Card slot expandable to 32GB

So for $149 you can get this little beauty loaded with a Touchwizified version of Ice Cream Sandwich which isn’t a terrible option considering the plethora of pre-paid phones around still running Gingerbread, however for a little over double you could of course be ordering the Nexus 4 tomorrow starting at $349 for an 8GB version, I know which one I’d be getting.
