I Bought the Samsung Chromebook from JB Hi-Fi for $339, really impresses so far, sure it’s limited but as a no worries coffee table second computer for browsing the internet it’s awesome, lightweight and 6-8hours of battery life is enough for a whole days browsing.

No worries about viruses or getting slower with age either…the cheapest fully blown laptop was $100 more and i’m glad i went the Chromebook for its low maintenance

Can tether to a phone for on the go computing too.

And for $100 extra you can go to Office works and buy an i5 14inch HP with 1TB hard drive & 4gb ram. Seems a better long term proposition (ram is not upgradeable though ive read).

8gb ram in a celeron? I’m getting the Samsung Chromebook.

have they swapped out the SSD for a large hdd? hoping not

I confirmed that they have indeed gone with a 320GB Hard Drive instead of the 16GB SSD with Harvey Norman and the HP Website backs up this information.

When will manufactures stop putting noisy large hard disks in chromebooks. Or any net/ultrabook for that matter.
