If you’re one of the lucky few who managed to acquire tickets to this years Google IO, you can now start planning which sessions you intend to attend across the three day event.
The Google Developers webpage has added a list of sessions for the event that are broken down into six different ‘tracks’. Developers can choose to follow tracks for Android, Chrome and Apps, Google+, Google Cloud Platform, Google Maps and Youtube. On the page, clicking a session will add them to your Google+ Calendar as events you wish to attend. The Google Developers Google+ page has advised that this year they will be presenting over 120 talks and code labs at the event so your schedule will definitely be full.
There is no mention of any Keynotes but a conference such as this without a Keynote is almost unheard of. The Keynotes will most likely be added to the session schedules further down the track as the website does advise guests to ‘Check back often as we continue to add more sessions’. Previous keynotes which announced some juicy features across all aspects of Google products including Android have been streamed live across the Google Developers YouTube channel and sessions from IO are generally added to the channel fairly quickly as well.
The Google IO Android app has yet to be updated, however if you are attending it should be updated in fairly short order as we are only two weeks away from the event.
Unfortunately Ausdroid won’t be attending as we narrowly missed out on tickets this year.
