Galaxy S4
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is shaping up to be the best selling Galaxy device to date, with Samsung Electronics co-CEO Shin Jong-kyun advising that the Korean manufacturer is confident that they will pass the 10 million unit sales mark at some stage next week, making it the fastest selling smartphone in Samsung’s history.

Released to 60 countries on the 27th of April, the Galaxy S4 has blasted past the previous best – the Galaxy S3, which took 50 days to reach this same milestone. Whilst, impressive it still doesn’t quite match sales figures for an individual phone such as the iPhone 5 which sold 5 million units in its first weekend.

The Galaxy S series phones have certainly reached a level of consciousness in the general public that is beginning to match that of the iPhone and that can only be good for Android as a general whole. With this many sales in less than a month, it will be interesting to see what the total sales for the device will be at the end of its life cycle.

It really looks like HTC have shot themselves in the foot by producing a market… Read more »
