Galaxy-S4-mini-leak

Samsung appear to have made a slight slip up today and have accidentally confirmed the existance of the Galaxy S4 Mini on their own Samsung Apps store.

TGSpot managed to grab a screenshot of the device as one of the selectable devices in the store. There are two versions listed on the site, the GT-I9195 and the SGH-I257.

The rumoured specs for the Galaxy S4 are obviously not on par with the Galaxy S4 and are more in line with a mid-range phone:

  • 1.6 GHz Exynos Dual-Core Processor
  • 4.3 inch Super-AMOLED Display
  • 540 x 960 resolution
  • 1 GB and 2 GB of RAM variants
  • Android OS 4.2.2, Jellybean
  • 8 MP camera
  • 2100 mAh battery

Only time will tell if these specs are correct.

There is still no official announcement from Samsung and we don’t have any more details on the specs, pricing or release date or even if we will see this device in Australia but given we didn’t see the Galaxy S3 Mini in Australia it’s not looking likely.

Do you think Samsung need to release a smaller S4 and would you buy one?

Meh again. I understand having cheaper models and such. But they really could do with making a premium smaller device. Is it just too hard to compete with apple in that department?
