Galaxy S4 Zoom

Speaking about the Galaxy S4 Zoom, JK Shin, President and CEO, Head of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics. said

The Samsung GALAXY S4 zoom represents yet another step forward in the way Samsung is working to enhance the lives of our customers around the world. As communication continues to become increasingly visual in nature, people wish to capture and share their moments in the highest quality possible, but often do not have the space or inclination to carry a dedicated camera for this purpose. The GALAXY S4 zoom changes this forever, combining the industry leading functionality and connectivity of the GALAXY S4 with the high quality photographic experience you’d expect from a compact camera. The result is truly the best of both worlds, without compromise.

The Galaxy S4 Zoom is possibly Samsungs way of addressing the upcoming camera centric phones from other manufacturers such as the Nokia WP8 PureView devices. Just how successful it will be will remain a mystery until it becomes available and at this stage, Samsung has not released any pricing or availability on the Galaxy S4 Zoom. We’ll be talking with Samsung about local availability and let you know.

They don’t see m to be able to make up their mind as to what they want. Some really strange specs…..

Ooh, so close! Make the screen 720p, and give it a little more battery, and I’d be very interested. And what’s up with that step on the back? Make it a uniform thickness and give it a bigger battery!

Gregorian

Yeah. Sigh.
Don’t you hate it when something looks awesome and then… that one little poo in the swimming pool that wrecks it.
720p. Come on. It’s not that high of a spec to demand nowadays. And it’s a cameraphone. You want to see your pics nicely.

The lump is fine. It makes it more ergonomic to hold as a camera.

Myk

Ah, looking again, yes, it does seem to bulge at the bottom, rather than narrow. That makes more sense.
