galaxy-s-4-stock-android

As reported earlier today, there was a test build of Android 4.3 for the Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition in the US floating around, and now it has finally surfaced. Thanks to the team at SamMobile, you can now download the stock Android 4.3 ROM and install it onto your Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S4 (GT-i9505).

If you are going to install it, remember that your warranty is void, and you need to know how to flash a ROM through a custom recovery.

Android 4.3 is still in development, so don’t expect a fully polished product. New additions to the OS are unclear, but anything amazing will no doubt be torn apart by users over the next day or so.

What’s the point of installing a hacked up ROM to get so-called stock experience?

Now if you could install the official firmware such that you’d get stock OTAs from Google, then this would be interesting (like you could with a carrier-bought Galaxy Nexus to turn it into a google experience device).

If you want hacked up almost stock on your S4, use any number of AOSP ROMS.

Any amazing additions will be “torn apart” by users? I would’ve thought users will try to keep them intact 🙂
