It seems budget Android tablets are beginning to pop up just about in every retailer possible and Target are looking to cash in on the tablet craze thats hitting us now.

In the latest Target catalogue starting Thursday 3 October 2013, on the back page, they are offering the Thomson 10″ Android budget Tablet for $169.

Thomson 10-inch

Now whilst the specs aren’t anywhere close to the Bauhn 10″ tablet Aldi was selling a few weeks ago now, or the Nexus 7 2013, they do offering some what descent specs are an ok price.

The list of specs includes:

  • 10″ display
  • 16GB internal storage, expandable to 32GB via microSD
  • WiFi connectivity
  • Android 4.1
  • Both rear and front facing cameras

The device will come in 4 main colours, White, Black, Pink and Blue. There isn’t very much more listed for the specs and the company website only provides for a previous model that doesn’t seem to be for sale here anymore.

Also on-sale are a Keyboard case for the tablet, it comes in Black, pink or blue and also includes a stylus pen for $25 and a more basic cover sans keyboard which is also available ion Black, pink or blue for $15 the case will sit the tablet in one of 3 positions.

The device and the associated accessories will be available for sale at Target stores nationwide, but not unfortunately at Target Country stores and it does not yet appear to be online.

Would you consider buying the Thomson 10″ budget Android tablet for $169 or are you waiting for the new Nexus 10 2013 when it will be released..

With the Thomson tablet, how do I transfer photos from digital camera (Canon IXUS500) to my tablet so that I can store and rename them. I already have the correct cable?
