Huawei P8 Launch
Huawei has a launch event next week in London, where a new phone, or indeed pair of phones are expected to be announced. The P8 and the P8 lite are supposed to be making an appearance according to rumour, and Huawei has released a teaser video to build the hype in the lead up to launch.

The video begins with a news report about a solar eclipse which reports on a mysterious man in black seen near the geographic locations where the eclipse could be observed. The man is then seen walking through the city, with light sources being sucked towards him, before finally he stands on a hilltop overlooking the city and the words :

Catch light
to spark infinite possibilities

are displayed on-screen and the lights of the city stream towards the phone in his hand.

What does this mean? It’s possible that the 13MP camera rumoured to be included on the phone will have an interesting light capturing ability.

The specs on the Huawei P8 are rumoured to be quite high-end with a 5.2″ 1080p display, Kirin 935 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The phone is also said to have great battery life, with a rumoured 2,600mAh battery, it’s going to need some great software optimisation, but with their own silicon on-board, it’s definitely possible.

The phones themselves look very sleek as shown off in the renders we published over the weekend. Huawei themselves have been building their credibility in tech, as well as design in recent years, becoming a highly recognisable brand worldwide.

Ausdroid will be in London for the launch of the Huawei P8 and we’re looking forward to bringing you all the information from the launch, as well as hands-on information from the phone as soon as we can.

Cross promotional. At the 1min 15 sec mark, as the guy in a hoodie is sucking the light out of a city, you see a couple of billboards showing ads for the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 having the light sucked out of them.

Can’t wait to see these in the flesh. The specs look awesome, it’ll just be down to build quality.

Excuse me, but 2,600mAh battery is an insult for us, the users. Improve it at once! We need 3,100mAh minimum!
