The first OnePlus phone, the One will reach it’s first birthday this month. In an industry where 12-month life-cycles are standard, that sort of milestone of course means we should be seeing another handset very soon. While OnePlus hasn’t been your traditional company, it seems they have something they want to say – and they’re inviting you to find out what it is.
Earlier today OnePlus posted an invite on all their social media channels, inviting everyone following them to, well, something. Whatever it is, it’s going to happen on April 20, but that is literally all the information available.
OnePlus famously teased the launch of the One, releasing teases, hints and outright announcing specs in the months leading up to the launch. We’ve so far seen nothing of their previous strategy, but OnePlus have never been backwards in coming forwards to release accessories and even their protracted April Fools prank – the DR-One remote controlled drone. The Drone was thankfully real – we’ve ordered some – but they haven’t mentioned, teased or hinted at anything else since then.
