Samsung 2
Samsung has a launch coming up soon, whether that’s August 12th as per the recent rumours, or at IFA in Berlin is one matter, but what the phones they intend to launch will look like is another. In what’s sure to be a limiting move for future collaborations with Samsung, casemaker ITSKins has shared renders of the phones with GSMArena including dimensions and button/port placements.

The renders are pretty basic, though do show the design of the phones and certain details. One detail which you can see from the renders is that the port is very much looking to be microUSB rather than the much anticipated USB-C standard. The phones also appear to be very much similar to previous iterations in design.

Dimension wise, the Galaxy Note 5 will be 153.3mm x 76.1mm x 7.9mm with GSMArena extrapolating that data to theorise a 5.7″ screen for the phone. The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will have dimensions of 154.4mm x 75.8mm x 6.9mm which should see a similar sized screen to the Note 5. The Note 5 render shows off the S Pen holder as well as a single slot for the SIM card (and possibly the microSD card). The rumour for the Note 5 include a glass back similar to the S6/S6 Edge which doesn’t allow removal or access to the battery.

S6 Edge Plus renders:

Hardware wise, we’re still in rumour territory but the Note 5 should pack an Exynos 7422 SoC and 4GB of RAM, while the S6 Edge Plus will come with an Exynos 7420 and 3GB of RAM.

We’re expecting to hear about a launch soon, but Samsung may be playing their cards close to their chest for a little while longer on that front, we’ll have to wait and see. Head on over to GSMArena for a heap more renders if that’s your thing.

The battery must be no less that 3300…assuming it will have 2k screen like note 4.
No matter what i will still hold my note 4 for one more year 🙂
