Android Police has published a leaked press image of the rumoured Huawei-built “Nexus 6P” phone showing the phone’s front and back.

There’s not a huge amount to say here – the device in the image looks like the same device we’ve seen leaked over the last few weeks, and the camera bump / bar at the top of the rear of the device is pretty clearly shown in the images, along with the fingerprint scanner and the modest “Huawei” branding.

There’s so much smoke around this one that if there’s no fire, it seems a lot of people are going to be a bit disappointed. Then again, there’s enough controversy over the design of the phone that maybe some punters will be disappointed if it turns out to be real…

Just put a case on the phone to fix the ‘looks’, who cares about the bump!

I like your tact Jason, that a controversial design is continuely leaked.
I like that it wont have any rock when placed on a desk

I keep saying that the camera better earn that weird back.
It can’t look like that and then be meh.

Christopher

Exactly – it needs to be a market leading sensor. If it’s going to have a lip, just make it all that thickness!

N6P Black will have white camera bump.
Stormtrooper White will have black camera bump.

I don’t hate bumps. I am fine with the little volcano expected on the back of the Nexus 5.
This is odd. Trying to make a design statement which I am not on board with just yet.

Christopher

Those huge top and bottom bezels… Eeeeeeek. Looks like we’re getting a phone that’s the same height as the 2014 N6 with a smaller screen. Looks like an iPhone 5 from the front.

Big front speakers?
I know some people love that feature, but as you say, its already a big phone.

Christopher

The 2014 N6 has big speakers too, but the bottom bezel was tiny.

It was also ridiculously much bigger, and thicker. Not that it was a bad thing because I loved my Nexus 6 but it had a ton of space, this being a smaller footprint maybe means they had to move around components to be evenly distributed from top to bottom

Exactly, I don’t get it! I bought the LG G2 years ago because it has a great 5.2″ display, large battery and VERY SMALL bezels all round. It is a very small phone for it’s 5.2″ display. I have been waiting years for a replacement with fingerprint scanner. But, each new phone that gets released is just ugly and big! I wish someone would release a phone with no bezel, 3000mA+ battery, good camera, fingerprint scanner and 5.2 to 5.5″ display! Currently the new Honor 7 seems about the closest to that. I was waiting to see what the nexus 5… Read more »
