Battery technology on the go has come a long way in the last few years; we’re spoiled with most devices now sporting some form of quick charging, whether it just be high-wattage chargers, Qualcomm’s Quick Charge technology, Motorola’s Turbo Charging, or Nexus’ Rapid Chargers. The innovation isn’t complete, though, with Huawei announcing new quick-charging lithium ion batteries at a recent conference in Japan.
The two batteries used in the demo were a 600 mAh battery, which could be charged to just under 70% in two minutes, and a 3,000 mAh battery which could be charged to just under 50% in five minutes. This latter battery translates to around 10 hours of battery use from a five minute charge, which is rather impressive compared to the current Nexus 6P which can add about 7 hours use from 10 minutes charging.
At this stage, the batteries are charged via a fairly large charging device rather than an on-board charging capability powered through a phone’s charging port, though it’s entirely possible that we’ll see this technology incorporated into mobile phones in the future. I for one can’t wait.

Still would like to see this rapid charging on wireless charging where u are using your phone from a distance and it is charging.
