It seems to be a busy time for Huawei: not only are they launching the Mate 9 in Munich today (Munich time) but they have also teased us with the news that the Huawei NovaPlus will be arriving in Australia “very soon”.

The NovaPlus was announced by Huawei at its IFA press event in Berlin a couple of months ago. The phone is further proof that Huawei are right at the pointy end for manufacturers that can make beautiful hardware. The NovaPlus is yet another superb example from Huawei of a well crafted, elegant piece of tech. The internals are that of a mid-range device with a 5.5in 1080P display, Snapdragon 625, 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be extended via the microSD slot, supporting up to 128GB microSD cards. It has the usual high quality Huawei fingerprint sensor along with a 16MP rear facing camera and 8MP front facing camera. It will run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Emotion UI 4.1 (unfortunately EMUI is seemingly reserved for the Mate 9 at this stage).

It seems that there is about to be another mid-range device land in the country that promises to be a top notch phone without breaking the bank. As always we will pass on any details to you as soon as we receive them from Huawei.

Will the NovaPlus be a device you will consider for your next purchase?

Nice phone but mate 9 should be even nicer the cost is what it boils down to waiting on the mate 9 specs to compare with xiaomi note 2 and cost if it’s comparable with the xiaomi note 2 . These two phones will probably have the best specs better than any Apple or Samsung phone .the Chinese have the edge on design and specs.

Looks good, but I’m more interested in the Mate 9 .

Looks the phone is so gorgeous consider Samsung exploded, this phone could be the best non Pixel Android phone. But the Android version is 6.

Really want to buy a Huawei phone if there is no bloatware.

Decent mid ranger on paper with enough horsepower for the average user.

It does however need to be priced around $500-$600 in my books which would put it on par with the Oppo R9, R9 Plus, HTC One X9 etc… Huawei devices have been pretty pricey lately which doesn’t make them as appealing as they once were.

Pity they didn’t bring the Honor 8 under Huawei branding, but I guess they didn’t want to chew sales away from the similar but more expensive P9.

What a *beatiful* looking phone. Any ideas how much it will cost?
