As part of their Gear VR LivePass service launched in May, Samsung will be live-streaming the ColdPlay Unframed concert from Soldier Field in Chicago.

The concert will begin at 8:30:CST on August 17th (that’s about 11:30am AEST August 18th here in Australia) with the concert live-streamed using LiveNation to Samsung Gear VR owners through the VR Live Pass.

This is the third event that Samsung has streamed through their VR Live Pass, with the service kicking off in June with the live stream of UFC 212: Aldo vs. Holloway, followed by the X Games Minneapolis last month. Future events after the Coldplay concert haven’t been announced, but Samsung appears to be committed to encouraging more VR content.

You can catch a teaser for the Coldplay Unframed concert here:

To stream the concert you’ll need a Gear VR headset as well as a Gear VR compatible phone, which includes the Galaxy S8/S8+ as well as other Galaxy S and Note series phones. You’ll also need the Samsung VR Live Pass app which is available through the Oculus Store.
