If you’re after a deal this week then head over to Google Play to check out their Deals of the Week, which this week sees ES File Explorer Pro and Vector Full reduced to just 20c each.

Google Play App Deal of the Week

ES File Manager Pro

I’m going to start by giving a warning on this app. As many have found, ES File Explorer became somewhat of a hotbed of crappy ads and more in recent years so purchase this one at your own peril. This is technically the ad-free version though, so it may be ok.

Despite our hesitation, ES File Explorer Pro does have a fairly rich feature list though. It includes all the basic file explorer functions you’d want including built-in photo, music, and video playback apps/viewers. It also handles basic office files like TXT and more as well as compressed files including ZIP and RAR files. Remote access to FTP and WebDAV, as well as a Bluetooth File Explorer are also included.

For 20c, this may be worth a shot – but it’s definitely a buyer beware type scenario on this one. Check it out on Google Play.

Google Play Game Deal of the Week

Vector Full

While the App Deal of the Week is a little suspicious the game deal of the week is legit. Vector Full is the paid, full version of Vector

Vector is a side-scrolling parkour themed free runner game, which sees you taking control of an agent who is trying to escape across the rooftops and escape. You’ll run, vault, slide and climb across the roofs of buildings through more than 40 levels in this game, which is fun to play and challenging as well.

I’ve been playing the basic version of Vector for a while now, but for 20c I’ll pick up the full version. You can too, so head over to Google Play and grab it now.

Dan’s Deal of the Week

This week, try out Fast Burst Camera – an app that surprisingly takes fast burst camera shots.

The app can take up to 30 shots per second on higher end devices, or 5-10 on lower end devices. Once you’ve taken a burst you can edit the shots either adding filters, frames or text or creating an animated GIF from the burst. You can take shots in single, burst or Motion Trigger modes, capturing a bunch of shots and then picking the best shot later.

Normally $4.99, you can grab Fast Burst Camera for free for a limited time.

Just go with Solid Explorer. Free, powerful and does the job.

Fast Burst Camera doesn’t seem to be free at all. Still $4.99 for me.

Nope avoid ES File Explorer like the plague.

I much prefer Solid Explorer. Does everything that ES does – adfree and malware-free

I’ve found ES File Explorer pro to be great myself, have used it for several years, haven’t come across any malware. I haven’t tried Solid Explorer but might give it a try

I went from ES File Explorer to Solid Explorer and haven’t looked back. It’s lightweight, has a great clean material UI and just works.

    Chris Rowland

Seconded. Solid Explorer is a great option.

ES File Explorer has one great function. You can access media on your network via Samba shares and use the internal media player for playback. I was disappointed when it was wrecked with ads so this price tip has me trying it again. Thanks.
