Google has today released their December Android Security Bulletin outlining any Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) found this month.

If you want to check out the list of issues reported in the security bulletin you’ll find fixes for hardware including chips from Nvidia, Mediatek and Qualcomm, as well as updates to the Media Libraries and Kernel.

As usual there are two levels of patches – 1st December and 5th of December – with Google’s supported Nexus and Pixel devices due to receive the 5th of December patches. Google hasn’t yet released those patches in either OTA or as Factory Images you can apply to your device stating:

Note: The Google device firmware images will be available on the Google Developer site on Tuesday, December 5th

Google has also begun, as of last month, including fixes for Pixel devices in these updates so it’s likely we’ll see an update to resolve some issues including the rebooting Pixels due to low LTE signal, as well as a fix to stop tracking you.

Stay tuned, we’ll update with the list of build numbers when Google launches the updates.
