Vodafone’s latest mobile plan offer goes beyond their usually decent value, offering a huge amount of included data. Thanks to their triple data offer, Vodafone is offering a tonne of data on several Month to Month plans.

Admittedly these are higher end plans ringing in at $80 and $100 per month, however, they come with 96 and 150 GB of data respectively. That may be the most data I’ve ever seen offered on a month to month plan. Thee plans may not be for most of us but the data allowances give me hope that – at least in Australia – the data allowances will continue to rise.

Who is this plan for? If you’re looking for a plan with massive data, or you’re already on a similar monthly plan and just want better value for money they these plans may well be for you. I wish Vodafone still offered a second SIM for data only. That would be the perfect companion for this plan to pop in your tablet/s.

While these are ‘month to month’ plans, they seem to require adding a handset on a 12/24/36 month repayment option? Great if you need a new phone, but was hoping they may have been pure ‘SIM Only’ plans!

If you did want to share that massive data pool with another SIM for a tablet or modem, you can get one for $15 month to month (and an extra 2GB to add to your 150GB pool!) – https://www.vodafone.com.au/mobile-broadband/plans/state/sim/month-to-month/filter

That’s amazing. That’s getting into ditching your fixed line territory.

At 150GB/month, that’s becoming a genuine alternative to a fixed landline for people who have good Vodafone coverage and are not online gamers or don’t have a need for large data volumes.

Optus will also give you 100GB for $70 month to month on a data only plan (which will pool with your mobile phones if you’re with Optus) if Vodafone coverage isn’t good enough for where you need it – http://www.optus.com.au/shop/broadband/mobile-broadband/data-sim-card

If you’re happy to stay in a 12 month contract, they’ll give you 140GB for $70 instead.
