Google’s catalogue of actions and apps for their Assistant continues to grow, and now you can finally read and write reviews for them.

According to the post on Android Police, and checking in, the option to read and write reviews is only available on the mobile app through Explore, not on the Google Assistant web explorer site – at least not yet. The reviews from other users don’t actually show for me either. I had to rate and then write a review for an app before I could see the overall rating and my own review – but that’s it, even after tapping ‘Read All’.

The display of reviews may be rolling out slowly, or maybe only on a country by country basis.

Having reviews and ratings is going to be great for surfacing content if Google is going to put that in their algorithm. It’s also great to allow developers to get feedback from users.

You can check out reviews now in the Explore section of Google Assistant by hitting the blue tray icon in the top right when you open Assistant – or in the Google Home app by hitting Explore in the slide-out Nav drawer.
