If you’re a dabbler in projects then the Android Things platform launch around Google I/O has been quite exciting. Google is looking for people and companies who want to build Android Things powered commercial products.

The Android Things OEM Partner Program is open to anyone with a great idea basically, with an application form asking for more details about the project. If accepted, Google will provide ‘technical guidance and support direct from the team to help build your product’.

Android Things of course powers the upcoming Smart Displays from Lenovo, LG and JBL, with those products quite hotly anticipated.

The application process for the Android Things OEM Partner Program closes on May 25th, with successful applicants notified by June 8th. If you’ve got a great idea head over and apply.
