After announcing their latest smartwatch, the Riley Touchscreen for the US market last week, Marc Jacobs has today announced the smartwatch is on its way to Australia for $499.

The smartwatch is called the ‘Riley Touchscreen’, similar to their hybrid Riley watch, which while ‘Smart’ doesn’t run Google’s Wear OS. The Riley Touchscreen however will run Wear OS, offering all the benefits of that platform.

The Riley Touchscreen will come in a polished case in either black, or gold surrounding a 1.19-inch AMOLED display with a single ‘crown’ on the side. Three styles will be on offer, with a gold-tone case with a white silicone strap; a rose gold-tone case with a taupe silicone strap; and a black case with a black silicone strap.

Internally, the watch will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processor and comes with IP67 dust/waterproof rating. The Fossil Group who own the Marc Jacobs brand haven’t been forthcoming with other specs but it’s likely it will have the usual 512MB RAM/4GB on-board storage with the usual Bluetooth and WiFi onboard.

The watch will feature wireless charging though a ‘puck’, giving you up to 24 hours of battery life.

The Marc Jacobs Riley Touchscreen Smartwatch will be landing in Australia ‘in the coming weeks’ where it will be exclusively available to The Iconic and David Jones.
