The Pixel 3 launch is only a few months away, which means the chances for leaks are growing higher. Today we’re seeing live pictures of a white Pixel 3 XL. The phone matches up with previous leaks of the Pixel 3 XL in black.

The pictures of the phone, courtesy of XDA-Developers forum member dr.guru, show the phone from the front, back and well, every angle you could really want. The shots are crisp and clear and as well as the single camera we’re expecting, the phone has the same logo on the rear which we saw in the previous leak – a logo that was shown in previous blog post from Google about Pixel prototypes.

The poster on XDA says that the phone has been remotely erased by Google – which jibes with the boot screen. The same screen shows the hardware config of 64GB of storage and 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, though we expect a 128GB version to arrive as well.

The notch in the display is expected to house dual front cameras and you can see those either side of the earpiece. The setup of the cameras on the front is fairly wide which leads us to believe there’s a reason for it. Some sort of face unlock, perhaps a 3D model of the face could perhaps take advantage of the wider spacing – but that’s something we’ll have to wait for the launch for.

The announcement of the Pixel 3/Pixel 3 XL is expected to follow suit with the last two years, meaning around October 4th. We’re still two months out so expect to see more leaks in that period.

I don’t get it. Their Pixelbook has a beautiful design and their Pixel phones have hideous design. Can’t believe those products are from the same company.

Notch and a chin? Seriously? How can a company like Google with all their resources mess up a hardware design 3 times in a row ?? Are they deliberately trying to make the pixel look bad?

Seriously..I am android fan but this is the ugliest phone if it is what it shows in the leaks..fastest,best camera android marvel..but I spend more time looking at the screen and phone itself than just taking pics…they really got to up the looks ,screen and overall features…samsung,OP are good competition

That is the ugliest notch on any phone to date, it looks so deep.

I am more interested in the standard Pixel 3 now, tho I wish they would have a front fingerprint sensor and a proximity peek like the Moto Z series

David

They haven’t fixed the Bluetooth issues with the pixel 2 yet.

What were they, David? I don’t use Bluetooth much on my Pixel 2 XL, mainly just for in ear and over ear wireless headphones. I’ve had no issues at all, to the best of my recollection.
Cheers

I’ve had a Pixel 2 XL since launch and use Bluetooth everyday with bithy my car and Jaybird X3 for music, calling and voice dictation. I also sync with my gear S3 watch and the only issue there is the handoff between receiving calls via the handset vs the watch so I just turn off phone calling profile on the watch.
Other than that, no complaints at all.

Also have Bluetooth issues on my Pixel 2XL. Sony car stereo works fine, but I’ve have 2 Bluetooth headsets that connect, but often music won’t play through them. Force closing Google Music sometimes fixes it, but often a reboot is required.

Boring. The last years Stormtrooper / Panda look was unique but this is just yawn material

Will

I really hope you can hide the notch like OnePlus have implemented

Fugly!
