After Android Pie was announced only a couple of weeks ago, it’s now a matter of seeing which devices the manufacturers will be updating to the latest version of Android and which will be left behind. Today Motorola has announced their list of Moto devices which will be served some delicious Pie.

The list of devices for Motorola is pretty well expected, gone are the days when Motorola used to update their entire range of handsets and this time around the Moto C and Moto E series – including the recently announced Moto E5 – both miss out. Instead it’s only the Moto G, Moto X and Moto Z in select models that will receive the update. The list includes:

  • moto z3
  • moto z3 play
  • moto z2 force edition
  • moto z2 play
  • moto x4
  • moto g6 plus
  • moto g6
  • moto g6 play

Motorola has said that they will begin delivering updates from ‘this fall’ which starts around the end of September in the US. There’s always a chance that devices not listed could eventually see the update, but we’re not holding our breath.
