Last year, the Mobvoi Ticwatch S and E took the budget and sports conscious Wear OS market by storm with their colourful watches adorning wrists all over the world. It looks like Mobvoi was happy enough with the results of at least the Ticwatch E, with a placeholder page for a Ticwatch E2 now live.

The placeholder page is mostly made up of a single image with the tagline ‘TicWatch E2 Water is now a friend of your watch’.

The original Ticwatch S and E had a fairly decent IP67 water resistance rating, but the X7 rating only means the watch is protected from immersion in water with a depth of up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.

Exactly what this new ‘Water is now a friend to your watch means isn’t clear, but the more recently released Ticwatch Pro comes with an improved IP68 rating which affords a little more protection allowing it to be protected from immersion in water with a depth of more than 1 metre.

As for the watch itself, it looks remarkably similar to the original Ticwatch E, although it appears they finally moved the single button to the right hand side of the watch for the Ticwatch E2. No dates, pricing or indeed anything is given up on the site, although they do have a mailing list you can sign up to if you want to be notified when the watch is available.

If you want to check it out, head over and see what you can find – and no, there’s no Ticwatch S2 URL…yet ;).
