Nokia’s next release could be just weeks away. After much rumour and speculation, we have the first renders of what could be an insane-looking phone coming from Nokia.

Dubbed “Beholder”, rumours suggest the Nokia 9 PureView could have as many as five cameras on the rear in a rather spectacular design. Better yet, we’re now hearing rumour it could be released at the end of January 2019.

Though we’re unsure exactly how a five-camera setup could work on this phone, we at least know how it could (or indeed, might) look. Evan Blass (@evleaks) shared this render on Twitter earlier this week:

There’s not much other detail given. The photo gives away an in-screen finger print sensor and a seven-ring, five-camera rear setup which looks beyond anything else we’ve seen in mobile.

The only other thing we can deduce from this render is that the Nokia 9 PureView will be powered by Android One, like most other Nokia handsets from HMD Global.

Let’s see what eventuates. With MWC 2019 around the corner, and CES next week, it’s definitely the time of the year to be watching the mobile space.

Such a bizarre thing to have an array of five cameras in formation. Now everyone is guessing what it’ll be used for, and Nokia is receiving the kind of buzz that accompanies Apple, Google and Samsung product releases.
