With the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S10 range firmly in the rear vision mirror, Samsung is moving down there line up and announcing the next device in the Galaxy A series of phones. The Galaxy A10, A30 and A50 have already announced this year so rumours are pointing at the announcement of the Galaxy A60.

Today Samsung have sent out invites to a new phone reveal in in Bangkok, Milan, and Sao Paulo on April 10 — not so coincidentally, the same day that OPPO will be announcing the Reno. The Galaxy A device is expected to be “designed for the way we communicate in the Era of Live” which most likely has something to do with the selfie camera and its software.

If the rumours are true we’ll be looking at a serious device including a Snapdragon 675 SoC, 6/8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 6.7-inch Infinity-U (teardrop notch – although we have also seen leaks of an apparent A60 with an Infinity-O display) 1080 x 2340 FHD+ AMOLED display. For imaging the A60 is expected to pack a triple rear camera array including 32MP, 5MP and an 8MP wide-angle sensor.
Around the front will be a 32MB selfie camera.

All of this will be backed up by a 4500mAh battery, 15W fast charging which should mean a USB-C port, an on-screen fingerprint sensor and a 3D Glasstic (read plastic that feels like plastic) polycarbonate body. Android 9.0 Pie will be loaded at launch as you would expect this far into Pie’s lifetime. With these specs in a mid-range device, we’re expecting the Galaxy S60 to be a great performer at a reasonable price.

Phone launches are heating up again in the next few weeks and you can be sure we will cover all that we can in as much detail as we can. What phone are you most looking forward to in the next month or so?
