OnePlus 7 Pro with QHD+ display to be “Fast and Smooth” according to CEO

OnePlus have a history of releasing phones with high end specs at very competitive prices with a UI that is blazingly fast and the OnePlus 7 looks set to continue that tradition according to leaks overnight.

We reported the other day that OnePlus CEO Pete Lau had Tweeted that he was going to share a teaser of the upcoming OnePlus phone in the next day. Overnight he shared a short video that reveals very little. The video has the tag line “Fast and Smoooth” which basically describes all OnePlus devices to come before this so is no surprise.

The video also shows the front of a phone that has a curved display. For the first time ever it looks like OnePlus will be releasing a phone with a curved display – the OnePlus 7 Pro. This is no surprise given it will be powered by a Snapdragon 855 along with a generous amount of RAM which OnePlus always include.

Excited to share the next product from OnePlus will unleash a new era of Fast and Smooth. Especially Smooth! Smooth is more challenging than Fast – a true test of hardware and software.

Overnight leaker Ishan Agarwal, who has been accurate with many details on previous phones, revealed more details of the OnePlus 7 Pro. It will apparently include a 6.64-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED 90Hz display which is the first time OnePlus have jumped above the 1080P display – we assume the standard OnePlus 7 will include the 1080P display but the QHD+ will be one of the distinguishing features of the Pro version.

The OnePlus 7 Pro will support USB 3.1 with WARP charing of 30W included to charge the 4000mAh battery along with stereo speakers.

We expect OnePlus to slowly start sharing more teasers of their upcoming devices in the coming weeks as we gear up for a mid-May release date. At this stage it is expected to launch on May 14 simultaneously in London, New York and Bangalore but without confirmation from OnePlus this is only rumour and speculation.
