Aldi’s special buys often intrigue and surprise, and its seems they will be offering a 10.1-inch tablet and wireless fast charger along with computer and tablet pillows starting next Wednesday.
The tablet has a 10.1-inch display powered by 1.2GHz quad core processor, has 1GB RAM, 16GB of storage and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo). It’s probably not going to be great with those specs, but your mileage may vary. It’ll cost you $100.
There’s little else but way of specs, but Aldi notes the tablet works with Aldi Mobile’s plans, so its maybe it’s got some mobile network connectivity.
There is also tablet pillow available in three colours, blue, red and black, which are available for $6.99 each.
Along with the tablet, Aldi will also sell a slim 10W Qi-certified fast wireless charger in both black and white colours for $19.99. Now we’re talking!
These Special Buys are available from your local Aldi store from Wednesday June 5 and stock is usually pretty limited.

I bought this tablet last year, It’s nasty!!!
It charges slowly, speakers are at the back, it runs Android Go so the apps are all lite versions, the performance is excruciating slow, it crashes and freezes when you open or change apps, the video quality is better than expected but the screen is made of plastic and you can scratch it with your finger nails!!
When it says 1gb of memory and 16gb of storage, I double checked if the article wasn’t a leftover from 2012.
No idea what that tablet will be like, but Aldi have never done a medium performance tablet (not even high performance, just medium), ever. Low performance is all they do, and the best tablet they ever released was all the way back in June 2013. By current specs that June 2013 tablet is not even worthy of being called a toy. Back then it was low spec, but VERY usable. Usable screen res, low amount of on board storage, user fixable OS bugs.
