OnePlus, like many other manufacturers, release flagship devices biannually as you would expect as 12 months is a long time in technology. Launching one every six months allows them to keep their flagship device relevant and up to date with all others being released at that time.

We have seen rumours circulating regarding OnePlus’ next flagship and although the name of it is still as yet unknown it seems that one leaker has managed to nail down launch dates and on-sale dates for the OnePlus 7T (OnePlus 7T Pro?). Max J. from @Samsung_News_ has said overnight in a Tweet that the next OnePlus flagship will be launched in India on September 26 — a date originally thought to be reserved for the OnePlus TV.

There is speculation that the event will indeed be focused on the OnePlus TV but will also include a small teaser for the OnePlus 7T, with the main US/EU launch two weeks later on October 10. Sales are set to begin on October 15.

India is OnePlus’ largest market, one where they are having the largest impact with the most popular premium flagship smartphone on the market so it would not surprise us if they did announce it there — but then why would they need the US and EU launch events as well?

Time will tell of course but with the India event set for just on 5 weeks from now we won’t have to wait long to find out for sure. We can only hope that OnePlus are paying attention to the arrival in Australia of Xiaomi and one of their sister companies, Vivo and can use the same distribution and support channels as them to finally bring their products to Australia. We will let you know as soon as we know if they do.

Who here would like to see OnePlus selling their phones alongside Vivo, OPPO and Xiaomi in JB Hi-Fi?

One plus phones released here in Australia would be a sure winner alongside the likes of Oppo, Vivo & Xiaomi. Yes, bring it on!

Agreed. Best phones i have ever owned. Gave my mother the OP5 so she had something reliable and long lasting battery but also allowed myself to get the 6T and I love it.

Love my op6t bought mine Feb 19 and it’s not making me think of going back to Apple or Samsung. Be good if we can buy OnePlus in Australia.

Perhaps a bit off topic, but I just received my new OP6 from Amazon the other day. $699 AUD. Rooted it straight away (thanks XDA devs), removed some unnecessary and unwanted OnePlus and Google apps. Who needs AR and 25 camera lenses? 6 gig of ram and a 3.5mm headphone jack! You can keep your over priced Samsungs and Pixels. I love this phone and I intend to keep it for as long as it keeps going.

Yes. Please bring OnePlus back to Australia
