With the new Fossil Gen 5 officially announced (and on the Ausdroid review bench) we’ve been expecting all of Fossils sub-brands to start trickling out the 2019 refresh to their lines of Wear OS watches. The first to break cover seems to be a new men’s watch from Michael Kors, the Lexington.

While we can’t confirm that the new device is running on the Gen 5 platform someone on Reddit managed to snap a photo of a retail display. Originally we thought it may have been for IFA where Fossil has had a big presence of late, however the display is in Spanish not German or English so that seems unlikely.

All we can confirm is that it contains a HR sensor like the Gen 5 platform and that it’s water resistance up to 30 metres. It would seem unlikely for Fossil to release a new device running on the old platform, traditionally they have been very good at keeping their entire range in step with their latest underlying platform.

With IFA just days away now we are hopeful that this and perhaps a few more Fossil brand Wear OS watches may launch onto the stage soon.
