We have been seeing rumours and leaks about new mid-range phones from Samsung that were meant to bring the best features of their 2019 flagships to the mid-range. Overnight they have made them official with the Galaxy Note10 Lite and S10 Lite.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite
The Galaxy S10 Lite will sport a 6.7-inch SuperAMOLED Plus Infinity-O display with the punch hole housing a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The display itself will just be a 1080P FHD+ display with minimal bezels.
On the rear is a rather large rectangular camera array housing a 5MP macro camera, a 48MP main lens (f/2.0) and a 123 degree ultrawide lens of 12MP — and an LED flash. This phone is apparently all about the camera with a new “Super Steady OIS” which provides higher stability for photos and videos
Inside there is an octa-core processor which some say is a Snapdragon 855 processor (impressive for mid-range) paired with 6 or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. As per usual for Samsung devices there is a microSD slot for expansion.
Running Android 10 and One UI 2.0 out of the box it will have a 4,500mAh battery weighing 186 grams inside a body of 75.6 x 162.5 x 8.1mm. It will be available in Prism Black, white and blue colours.
Samsung Galaxy Note10 Lite
Samsung brings the S-Pen experience to the mid-range with the Note10 Lite with the same 6.7-inch display and front facing camera. The Note10 Lite will also feature a triple rear camera setup although its makeup will be an ultrawide lens of 12MP, a wide angled main lens of 12MP (dual pixel f/1.7) and a telephoto lens of 12MP.
The processor powering the Note10 Lite will be an octacore Exynos 9810 and it will feature the same storage and RAM options as the S10 Lite. the battery and base software will also be identical to the S10 Lite but the Note10 Lite will be slightly bigger at 76.1 x 163.7 x 8.7mm while weighing 199 grams.
The Note10 Lite will be available in Aura Black, Aura Glow and Aura Red colours.
At this stage there is no word on Australian availability or pricing but we expect that to arrive in the coming days — assuming it is coming here. The Pixel 3a started it and now other manufacturers are seeing the benefits of bringing some of their premium features to the mid-range. These Samsung phones look to be set to bring a whole new battle to the mid-range.

They look pretty good , but if you are already a note 9 user , almost no incentive to buy imo , even though there are some extras on them like camera enhancements . However if the displays are nice big flat screens , that adds a bit of a cherry on top , although i assume you lose the 3.5 mm head phone jack ! and having now used an in screen finger print reader on my other phone , i can honestly say , i like my rear finger print reader on the note 9 .
