Let’s face it, with only three days until the launch of the OnePlus 8 series of flagships there isn’t much we do not already know about the devices set to be launched on Wednesday morning AEST. That of course doesn’t stop up from reporting on the leaks as they occur.

Today someone has taken a photo of the about screen on their OnePlus 8 Pro displaying and confirming details of the device before it is released this week. While it does not tell us anything new it is confirmation of details we have seen previously.

The About Phone page shows off the presence of the Snapdragon 865 chipset, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The rear camera setup is also listed: 48MP + 48MP + 8MP + 5MP and the 6.78-inch 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display.

The phone is a Chinese version because it is running Hydrogen OS and not Oxygen OS but the hardware will be the same between the two variants. Interestingly the large cutout in the case at the top reveals a possible very large speaker that could be used as part of a stereo speaker system — you do not need a speaker that large just for listening in phone calls.

Expect to find out a lot more come Wednesday morning — you can be sure that we will be up, awake and watching the event live, ready to bring you all the details as they come to hand Hopefully we can also manage to find out how many companies will be importing it into Australia for you guys to buy.

Price was at nearly 800 euro we are looking at a minimum $p1400 phone. Plus tax. Way too expensive, for that money I will look at the Microsoft Duo.
