All Amazon customers in Australia can now rent or buy new release and blockbuster movies through the Prime Video Store on primevideo.com and the Prime Video Play Store app and the Prime Video app on Smart TVs and game consoles.

“We’ve seen how much our customers enjoy the large selection of new release movies available to rent or buy on the Prime Video Store in the US, UK, Germany and Japan, so we’re delighted to roll this service out in France, Italy, Spain, Canada and Australia today” said Mike Hopkins, SVP Amazon Prime Video & Amazon Studios.

Movies will be available to rent or buy from top US and local Australian movie studios, including Disney, Warner Bros., NBCUniversal, Sony, Paramount and Lionsgate, with new releases including Avengers: Infinity War and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom available to watch now.

Local movie studios, including, Transmission and Madman in Australia, will also be available with local titles like Mystify Michael Hutchence available at launch

The Prime Video Store adds to the selection of popular movies and TV shows available to stream on Prime Video with a Prime membership, including Amazon Originals like Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel and The Test: A New Era for Australia’s Team.

With many of us having extra time on their hands at the moment due to isolation rules why not have yet another video option. For those already with Prime Video this may seem a perfect addition. If you are interested head on over to your Prime Video app and start browsing for movies to rent or buy.
