With the smart watch market definitely increasing in over all volume of sales internationally many OEMs are trying to rise to the top of the pack as a dominate competitor to the Apple watch. Huawei’s latest device to hit the market is the Huawei watch GT 2e, a fitness focused watch with extra features and impressive battery life.

The TPU design sorts watch will come in Graphite Black, Lava Red, Mint Green and Icy White and features 1.39″ AMOLED touch display, 4GB of internal storage, Optical heart rate sensor, Blood Saturation monitor and magnetic charging. What about the battery? There’s no details but Huawei rate it for an outstanding 2 weeks of usage.

2 weeks battery life, how? Huawei say it’s thanks to their first in house designed custom wearable SOC the Kirin A1. The SOC features a dual processor design with ultra low power cores for daily use and more responsive cores for when they’re needed.

Fitness is the focus of the watch GT2e with 15 workout modes pre programmed, the Heart rate and SpO2 monitoring all on board. The watch also features on board GPS for when you’re working out away from your phone.

If there was a feature missing it would have to be NFC for payments. While many fitness trackers are starting to ship with mobile payments it’s almost ubiquitous in the smart phone market these days. The Watch GT 2e is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

What OS is it running? That’s a key but of info to know if there are any apps available for it.

These watch conversations need to discuss how thick the watch is… 2 weeks battery life might just be a big old slab sized batt.

5-6mm i guess. 😉 Have it on My arm right know. Normal analog watch size. The 14 days is obtainable, but ofc depends on use.i use the gps everyday and it tracks sleep, heartrate, Sp02, steps, stress and activity. And my watch holds op for about 10 days. And charge up to full wirhin an hour.
