It has been a while since the OPPO Find X2 Pro but since then the world has changed. Launches and releases have been held up while factories were closed and supply channels stopped in a bid to curb the pandemic. Now OPPO’s are running once again and their latest series, the Find X2 series is available in Australia.

The Find X2 Pro needs little introduction with it garnering a lot of publicity worldwide along with a decent amount of hype in Australia. The ultra-premium flagship promises to offer the best in class display, one of the best smartphone camera experiences around alongside a fast, powerful processor and hardware.

Alongside the Find X2 Pro are the Find X2 Neo and the Find X2 Lite, both of which as 5G capable devices powered by the Snapdragon 765 SoC.

As for their displays the Neo is the higher end of the two new, unannounced devices and as such sports a 90Hz 6.5-inch 3D curved punch-hole AMOLED display. The Lite version arrives with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera.

Battery and power-wise the Neo houses a 4,025mAh battery while the Lite is close with a 4,000mAh battery. Both devices are charged using OPPO’s VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 which can power from 0 to 50 percent in just 20 minutes.

These days one of the most important features of a smartphone is its camera chops. Both the Neo and the Lite have a 32MP selfie camera and quad rear cameras. The Neo houses the same Sony IMX689 48MP main camera as the Pro along with 13MP, 8MP and 2MP lenses. The Lite on the other hand features a 48MP main camera with 8MP, 2MP and 2MP lenses.

The Find X2 Pro, Neo and Lite devices all offer a premium smartphone experience to suit various consumersโ€™ wants and needs. As we continue to pioneer leading technology advancements, in a time where the 5G network matures and its adoption increases, the smartphone will become even more important in our daily lives. With many features mirroring the industry-leading X2 Pro device, the X2 Lite offers a superb experience – and at its sub $800 price point, more Aussies have the chance to access 5G and the latest smartphone technology to enhance their daily lives.Michael Tran, MD OPPO Australia

Hardware-wise the Neo arrived with 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM while the Lite has 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM within.

Actually keen on the Find X2 Lite for $749 to be honest. It’s packs a punch hardware wise with lots of RAM and Storage and and a zippy SoC and features to be called a “Lite” version to be honest.   The 5G support on it worries me a little though with support for only the n78 band for now with future software updates to open up more bands, according to their website. Sure, it’s what our carriers are using but Optus and Vodafone will be using different bands as well and knowing Oppo’s track record on software updates, these… Read more ยป

I have been waiting for the Mi 10 pro but who knows if it will ever be sold in a retail store here and the current online price is another $400 more I am wondering if I go this way instead. I briefly got to use one of the pro models in a local JB-hifi store and it seemed good but will want to wait for your review. If JB offered the headphones bonus too I would probably buy it now.
