Despite Samsung just releasing a whole host of new devices they have just teased their next Unpacked event, Unpacked for Every Fan. We’re fairly sure that this will be the launch event for the rumoured more affordable Fan Edition (EF) of the Galaxy S20.

The Galaxy S20 FE aims to bring the S20 line into a more affordable price range while maintaining the overall quality of the device. The S20 FE is rumoured to have a 6.4-inch 1080P 120 Hz centre hole punch display. A Snapdragon 865 5G variant and a Exynos 990 LTE variant, both with 6GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.

Camera wise there will be a triple rear camera with a slightly downgraded 12MP main sensor, 12MP wide-angle and a 8MP zoom, a far cry from the pixel binned 48MP sensor in the S20. Around the front will be a single 32MP selfie camera under the hold punch display.

With the launch of the multi coloured mid- to high-tier device likely in a couple of weeks this may be Samsung’s last ‘flagship’ device for the year: remember when we only gone one or two flagships from each OEM? Good times. It will be interesting to see where the Galaxy S20 FE is situated in the Samsung price range — is this going to rival the affordable device market, or just make a flagship more affordable?

Why does Samsung keep releasing phones with obsolete, poor performing and battery destroying CPU’s?
I’m talking about the horrible Exyons 990 CPU (chipset)
