Kogan Mobile is aiming to compete with the large telcos with new pricing on its monthly plans.

The new plans introduce a 200GB rollover, meaning any unused data can stack up for when you need it.

Pricing is as follows:

  • Large 12 Months: $25/mo for 12 months, 45GB data
  • Extra Large 12 Months: $40/mo for 12 months, 80GB data

Regular pricing for these plans is nearly double, at $45/mo and $60/mo respectively.

Both plans include a 12-month commitment, meaning an ugly early exit fee of up to $120 on the Large plan and up to $180 on the Extra Large plan if you cancel early.

Compared to the big two, these plans are competitive – especially considering the value-add of a large data rollover, however promotions from other telcos are where the real competition is.

Circles.life is currently running a promotion that provides 100GB of data per month for the first 12 months at $30/mo, or 50GB for $22/mo, both with no cancellation fees – so if you want the option to switch you’d be better off looking elsewhere than Kogan.

Circles resells the Optus network, while Kogan utilises the Vodafone network, which has less desirable coverage for certain areas of the country.

Kogan’s new plans are available to new and existing customers, and are available on the company’s website. The offer ends on 6th May.
