Realme, a company we are very aware of here at the Ausdroid office has announced the launch of its latest budget smartphone that it claims offers endless fun along with supreme power and impressive viewing. The Realme C21 does all this, with a price tag just under the $200 mark.

The 6.5-inch mini-drop full screen LCD display (720 x 1600) is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6765 processor. It’s carrying 4GB of RAM with 64GB onboard storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

The realme C21 also comes with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 13MP main camera, 2MP mono sensor and 2MP macro, with a 5MP front facing camera which should be fine for those who must have insta selfie pics.

It’s packing a 5,000 MHz battery which will get the C21 through some pretty full on adventures, giving you the chance to explore the potential of the C21. It also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, NFC capabilities which is great to see in a budget device, Bluetooth version 5.0 and a rear instantaneous fingerprint sensor the company has stated enables users to unlock their device in a flash.

In terms of the version of Android the realme C21 is running Version 10 with Realme UI 1.

Commenting on the launch of the realme C21, Andy Yang, Managing Director of realme Australia, has stated:

“We brought our much loved C series smartphones to the Aussie market in 2020 with the launch of the C3, C11 and C12, after identifying a consumer desire for smartphones that come packed with impressive features for a price that wonโ€™t break the bank.

โ€œOur partnership with Optus in 2020 for the launch of the realme C3 was a great success, enabling us to connect with more Aussies across the country. This year, we are excited to announce the continuation of this partnership for the launch of the realme C21, which is available to purchase exclusively via Optus.โ€

The realme C21 will be available in two colours, Cross Black and Cross Blue, and is available through your local Optus Store, the Optus website, Woolworths, Coles, Big W, Kmart and Target for $199.
