Some customers of TPG Telecom are receiving invites to try Vodafone 5G Unlimited Home Wireless prior to public access of the service as part of an “Early Access Program”.

If you receive such an invite the duration of the Early Access Program period is your first 3 months of your 5G Home Wireless Plan (“Early Access Period”).

The deal for these early adopters is first month free then $64.99/Month afterwards. The 5G speed is uncapped but not guaranteed and the data quota is unlimited.

Ausdroid understands that Vodafone will supply customers with the same Nokia Fastmile Wi-Fi router that Optus uses for their 5G home internet I tested last year. The modem remains the property of Vodafone and must be returned if you cancel your 5G Home Internet plan

Vodafone 5G is available in selected areas in more than 650 suburbs around Australia and they currently have around 1,600 sites in the planning and design phase.

Their plan is to cover 85% of the population in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra with their 5G network by the end of 2021 for customers with a compatible 5G approved device.

To check your specific address and to learn more about Vodafone 5G please refer to www.vodafone.com.au/coverage.

My area of suburban Sydney doesn’t have Optus or Telstra 5G yet so I was surprised to see the coverage checker for my address saying “Great news! Vodafone 5G is now available in parts of this area”.

Are you using Vodafone 5G via your mobile or tablet already? Please let us know your experience of the network by adding a comment.

I wonder if you took the device to another supported area that you still use it?
